USA Supporting South Korea, Sends USS George Washington Aircraft Carrier To Help

Nov 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) United States of America sent an aircraft carrier USS George Washington to take part in joined training exercise in South Korea naval forces later this month. Cheong Wa Dae spokesperson released a statement where it was mentioned that US President Barack Obama had a telephonic conversation with President Lee Myung-bak on Wednesday where the former said that China should also take a firm stance on North Korea over the attack. The spokesperson said that a U.S nuclear powered aircraft will be dispatched to train South Korea military and as a show of strength after North Korea fired 170 artillery shells in South Korea which claimed 2 lives.
Combined Forces Command in Seoul stated in its statement that the USS George Washington carrier group will be joining Republic of Korea naval forces in the Korean Peninsula from November 28 to December 1. The statement also read that the exercise would enhance “interoperability”. Kim Yong-kyu at the CFC public affairs office said that China has already been notified by U.S. Government about the dispatch of aircraft career group to the Korean peninsula. It has also been reported that there will be twenty naval ships which would be led by two KDX-II destroyers.
At the same time White House released a statement where it was clearly said that USA supports South Korea. Even US President Barack Obama said that North Korea should atop their “provocative actions” as it would further lead to their isolation. The President has also asked China to resolve North Korean war issue to maintain peace and harmony in the nation. The White House officials said that US President Barack Obama and President Lee Myung-bak decided to take necessary measures to prevent these kinds of attack again.
