US, UAE discuss bilateral ties
September 10th, 2011 - 11:03 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Sep 10 (IANS/WAM) Officials of the US and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) met here Saturday to discuss bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
Hanif Hassan, UAE minister of health, received US ambassador to the country Michael H. Corbin, in Abu Dhabi.
Hassan emphasised that both countries could benefit from their experiences in the medical field, especially in learning and training.
The US envoy said strong relations and common interests between the two countries has witnessed continuous progress and development.
The meeting was also attended by Salem Al Darmaki, acting undersecretary of the ministry of health, Nasser Khalifa Al Budoor, assistant undersecretary and director of the minister’s office, Nariman Al Mulla, advisor to the minister, and Richard Ausson, economic advisor at the US embassy in Abu Dhabi.
