US teacher arrested, fired for stripping, roaming school hallways nude
April 30th, 2011 - 5:16 pm ICT by ANINew York, Apr 30 (ANI): A teacher in the US, who stripped and roamed the hallways of a school in the nude, has been arrested and fired from his job.
According to the Smoking Gun, Harlan Porter, 31, who underwent a sudden spiritual awakening, and celebrated the moment by stripping naked, was arrested and charged with public indecency.
School staff members at the B.C. Haynie Elementary School in Morrow, Ga, spotted Porter roaming around in his birthday suit, and they called the police, who found him sitting in the teacher’s lounge.
Although no students were in the school at the time, Porter was fired from his job.
A Morrow Police Department report revealed he explained to cops that he “reached a new level on enlightenment” and that he “wanted everybody to be free now that his third eye was open”.
Despite losing his job, Porter expressed a desire to continue teaching, although “on a new level, with hands in the earth, gathering the essence and learning how to love one another and fully appreciate the spiritual realm”.
Fellow teachers at the school described Porter as a vegan who avoided both drugs and alcohol.
“However on the date in question they noticed that he was drinking a coke and had gone to taco bell to get tacos for lunch,” the New York Daily News quoted the police report as saying.
Arresting officer Khari Reed also wrote that Porter had been “diagnosed schizophrenic” seven years ago in New York. (ANI)
