London, Mar 4 (ANI): About 100 students at Chicago’s Northwestern University reportedly watched a woman being brought to orgasm with a powerful sex toy last month as part of class.

The University, which charges more than 40,000 dollars a year in fees, held the optional after-class presentation where the students observed a naked woman being penetrated by a machine-powered saw with a phallic object instead of a blade, reports the Daily Mail.

The graphic act was part of psychology professor John Michael Bailey’s human sexuality class.

Ken Melvoin-Berg, co-owner of Weird Chicago Tours, was paid around 400 dollars to guest lecture at the university which was organised by Bailey.

His discussion on bondage, swinging and other sexual fetishes included video footage of a woman who was having an orgasm, but when it was deemed unrealistic, the idea of a live sex act was introduced.

After the initial discussion, the class were told that a couple were going to demonstrate the use of a sex toy and the female orgasm.

Both Bailey and Melvoin-Berg said they gave the students multiple warnings about how graphic it was going to be and gave them the option of leaving, which some did.

The woman undressed and got on stage with her male partner, who used the device to bring her to orgasm.

Melvoin-Berg said the couple are exhibitionists who enjoy having people watch them have sex, and they were not paid for the demonstration.

“It is probably something I will remember for the rest of my life. We were watching a video on sexual arousal. They thought, “Why not give a demonstration?” said Northwestern senior Justin Smith.

“The main guy, Ken, said, ‘Are you ready for the live sex show?’ We were like, ‘OK’,” he added.

Smith, 21, confirmed that there were several warnings beforehand and some students trickled out.

Most students were sitting in the auditorium’s balcony, including a student’s mother who attended class that day.

Meanwhile, a day after the news hit the Internet about the live sex demonstration, the university is backtracking on its support of the presentation.

University president Morton Schapiro said on Thursday that he was ‘troubled and disappointed’ by what happened and had ordered an investigation.

“Many members of the Northwestern community are disturbed by what took place on our campus and so am I,” he said.

Schapiro said he has directed that the incident be fully investigated, and he wants to clarify what constitutes ‘appropriate pedagogy’. (ANI)
