US soldier names first born after pal who saved life in Afghanistan
December 31st, 2010 - 6:11 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Dec.31 (ANI): An American soldier has named his first child after the friend who died saving his life.
Private Charles Emina called his daughter Isabella Tom, in memory of Private Tom Sephton, 20.
Sephton died in hospital on July 5 after being injured in a bomb blast.
The Mirror quoted Emina, 28, as saying: “Tom spotted the bomb and told me to stop. That I survived is a testament to what a good soldier he was. He was going to be Isabella’s godfather. She will know all about him.” (ANI)
