‘US-ROK attacks against North Korea will bring them self-destruction’
December 12th, 2010 - 3:05 pm ICT by ANIPyongyang, Dec 12 (ANI): North Korea has warned that its army and people are ready for escalated conflicts and on all-out war that would not be confined to the peninsula, according to its official news agency KCNA.
A spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea said in a statement that the recent moves of the US indicated that it fully backs South Korea’s moves for a war of aggression against North Korea after “throwing away the disguise of a hypocrite,” The China Daily reports.
It was clear that if the South Korean army mobilized all flying corps, warships and missiles for a war against North Korea and the US joined them with the latest weapons, it would develop into an all-out war, not a local war, he added.
“Should an all-out war break out again on this land, it will not be confined to the boundaries of the peninsula,” the paper quoted the spokesman, as saying.
He further warned South Korea and the US to that igniting a dangerous war would bring them nothing but self-destruction.
Last month, North Korean artillery shells had killed two marines and destroyed several houses and other buildings on the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong. (ANI)
