US highway accident kills seven
October 4th, 2008 - 7:32 am ICT by IANS - Send to a friend:Washington, Oct 4 (Xinhua) Seven people were killed Friday when the van in which they were travelling collided with a tractor coming from the opposite direction in the US state of Alabama, an official said. The accident occurred near the Montgomery city.
Montgomery Mayor Bobby Bright said rescue officials had to cut open the mangled remains of the vehicle to retrieve the bodies.
All seven occupants of the van died in the accident.
A fire broke out after the collision which further added to the tragedy, he said.
