Jan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The law enforcement officials of United States charged the 22 year old man Jared Lee Loughner on his attempted assassination in the Arizona shooting. The government of U. S. charged the suspect with one count of attempted assassination of a Congress member, two counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. The suspect Jared Lee Loughner opened fire at a busy supermarket in the morning when U. S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and all her aides were on a meeting. The shooting claimed the lives of six people and injured nearly 17 people.
The law enforcement officials reported that Jared Lee Loughner had a troubled past and they suspect that he might have a second accomplish, who helped him in this assassination. On the other hand, the prosecutors told that other charges against him would be filed within short time. Jared Lee Loughner’s friends and neighbors told the local media that the suspect was expelled from his college for his disruptive behavior. The Justice Department told that he is scheduled to appear in Phoenix court on Monday. The investigators reported that they found some hand written notes in Jared Lee Loughner’s home where it was written that he has planned assassination and in another paper Gabrille Giffords’ name was written.
Judy Clarke, a federal public defender, who previously represented Ted Kaczynski and assisted al Qaeda operative Zacarias Moussaoui’s case has been appointed as Jared Lee Loughner’s representative in this case. On the other hand, Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik reported that the suspect is not co-operating with the investors and not answering their questions. FBI director Robert S. Mueller is investigating the case.
