US girl, 4, dies of ‘extreme alcohol poisoning’
January 30th, 2011 - 6:30 pm ICT by ANINew York, Jan 30 (ANI): A four-year-old girl from Alpharette, Georgia, died of “extreme alcohol poisoning,” according to police.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the girl’s father and aunt have been arrested on murder charges, reports the New York Post.
The girl was found yesterday morning after police and firefighters responded to a call for help at a condominium complex in Alpharetta, which is about 30 miles north of Atlanta.
She was airlifted to an Atlanta children’s hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The girl’s father and aunt, both Haitian nationals, were arrested on charges of murder and felony child cruelty, Alpharetta police spokesman George Gordon said.
Formal charges against the girl’s father and aunt are pending. (ANI)
