US arrests suspect in bomb plot
January 10th, 2012 - 6:34 am ICT by IANSWashington, Jan 10 (IANS) A 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly plotting to bomb sites in the US state of Florida.
Sami Osmakac, arrested Saturday night, is a naturalized US citizen born in the former Yugoslavia, Xinhua reported Monday.
He is charged with one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. He is accused of plotting an attack against locations in Tampa with a car bomb, assault rifles and other explosives.
Osmakac’s arrest came after an undercover operation that lasted several months.
