US Army base shooting leaves seven dead
November 6th, 2009 - 3:40 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Washington, Nov 6 (DPA) At least two gunmen opened fire on a US Army base in Texas Thursday, killing seven people and wounding up to 12, local media reported.
One of the gunmen was in custody and base authorities were searching for a second suspect on the massive base, the largest US military installation in the world.
The base was quickly placed into lockdown. A message on the Fort Hood website said: “Effective immediately Fort Hood is closed.”
