Unusual requests of plane passengers revealed by cabin crew
February 2nd, 2011 - 4:38 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb 2 (ANI): A list of the unusual requests plane passengers make has been revealed by a cabin crew and it includes the most asked question - “Please can you open the window?”
The list of bizarre questions asked of flight attendants was revealed after 3,000 Virgin Atlantic cabin crewmembers noted down their experiences.
The questions that Virgin staff have had to field also included, “Could you turn the engines down because they are too noisy?” and “Please can the Captain stop the turbulence?”
The survey also showed that some travellers expected the maximum level of comfort and service, prompting them to ask flight attendants “Can you show me to the showers?”
One flight attendant was even asked to book a massage for a Barbie doll, while others were asked to help a customer locate a missing glass eye.
Then there are customers, who overestimate the amount of space on their aircraft, by asking, “Can you take my children to the playroom?” and “Is there a McDonald’s onboard?”
“Virgin Atlantic crew will always go that extra mile to offer our customers the best possible service but there are some requests that even we find somewhat challenging,” the Telegraph quoted Caroline Lynam, customer relations manager at Virgin Atlantic, as saying. (ANI)
