Washington, September 4, 2010 (Just Flashed): The University of California (Irvine) (UC-I) has maintained its pronouncement that dismissed a Mohammedan organization of the campus subsequent to the interruption, by some of the organization’s constituents, of a dialogue by the Israeli emissary at a campus affair. The Israeli emissary in question happens to be Michael Oren. The Mohammedan organization being discussed is the Muslim Student Union (MSU). What had happened was that 11 Mohammedan students of the MSU at the UC-I were detained in February this year for interrupting a dialogue by Michael Oren. The rationale behind the opposition of MSU to the Israeli emissary is, presumably, the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory since 1967.

Nevertheless, the UC-I asserted on Friday that it would end the dismissal of the MSU on December 31 this year in place of putting the dismissal into effect for a full year. Additionally, MSU will be on trial for two years as opposed to one. Its members must execute 100 hours of community service.

Hadeer Soliman happens to be the provisional vice president of the MSU. He has divulged that this chastisement will have a damaging effect on hundreds of Mohammedans, who frequently go to prayer assemblies and hang out in concert.

Please note that to refer to the group as Mohammedan is offensive. Muslims identify themselves by the name of their religion not by the name of their prophet. Also note that Hadeer Soliman provisional vice president of the MSU is a female not a male.
