UAE to create welfare fund for prisoners
September 18th, 2009 - 11:20 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Abu Dhabi, Sep 18 (IANS) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will create a fund for the welfare of prisoners and their families in the country, WAM news agency reported Friday.
The plan was endorsed by UAE Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The fund is in line with the UAE’s effort to support humanitarian causes.
The money will be distributed among the needy prison inmates.
