UAE quake aid to Turkey
October 26th, 2011 - 12:35 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Oct 25 (IANS/WAM) The UAE plans to send tents, blankets, food items and medicines to quake-hit Turkey.
The toll from Sunday’s 7.2 magnitude quake in southeast Turkey’s Van province rose to 432 Tuesday. Over 1,350 others were injured.
Mohammed Hajji Al Khoori, director general of the Sheikh Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation, told WAM that a joint delegation of humanitarian organisations was set up to distribute relief materials in Turkey.
