UAE president greets Zardari on Independence Day
August 14th, 2009 - 11:04 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Abu Dhabi, Aug 14 (IANS) United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has greeted Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on his country’s Independence Day, WAM news agency reported.
UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have also sent congratulatory messages to Zardari.
Pakistan marks its Independence Day (also known as Yom-e-Istiqlal and Yaum-e-Azadi) Aug 14, the day on which Pakistan became independent from the British rule in 1947.
