UAE moon sighting committee to meet Aug 29
August 23rd, 2011 - 11:58 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Aug 23 (IANS/WAM) UAE Justice Minister Hadef Joan Al Dhahiri said the moon sighting committee will hold its meeting after the Maghreb (evening) prayer Aug 29, it was announced Tuesday.
He called on the Sharia courts to inform the committee after sighting the moon.
Muslims all over the world fast during the day in the holy month of Ramadan that will culminate with Eid ul-Fitr, which is celebrated after the sighting of the new moon.
