UAE minister meets Unesco chief
October 31st, 2011 - 11:25 pm ICT by IANSParis, Oct 31 (IANS/WAM) The minister of education of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) met Unesco Director-General Irena Bokova on the sidelines of the Unesco session here.
Humaid Al Qattami met Bokova and discussed ways to boost cooperation between the UAE and the UN agency.
The UAE minister also met other officials to request them to back the UAE for membership of the Unesco executive council.
