UAE holds talks with Canada, Japan
May 31st, 2011 - 11:55 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, May 31 (IANS/WAM) Top officials of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) held separate talks Tuesday with Canadian and Japanese diplomats, authorities said.
Abdullah Al Subosi, director of the UAE foreign ministry’s department for American and Pacific Affairs, received in Abu Dhabi Canadian Ambassador to the UAE Kenneth Lewis.
The two officials reviewed ways of enhancing bilateral relations and also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East.
In another meeting in Dubai, UAE Environment and Water Minister Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd met Japanese Ambassador to the UAE Tatsuo Watanabe.
Fahd and the Japanese envoy discussed issues of common interest.
