UAE, Germany to cooperate in railways
March 29th, 2010 - 10:26 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, March 29 (IANS) Germany and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance their cooperation in the railways sector, WAM news agency reported Monday.
The visiting German Federal Minister of Traffic, Building and Urban Development Peter Ramsauer and Director General of the National Transport Authority Nasser Saif Al Mansoori signed the MoU.
Both sides underlined their interest in conducting intensive exchange and cooperation in various issues of the transport sector, such as railway transport, transport safety and technology systems.
Ramsauer also held talks with governmental officials and representatives of German companies in Abu Dhabi.
