The Abu Dhabi Folk Dance Group was set up by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH).
According to Abdullah Al Ameri, director of the Culture and Arts Department at ADACH, the participation of the group in the World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) festival, is part of a strategy aimed at strengthening dialogue and cultural exchange between nations and peoples.
It also aims to introduce the heritage of the UAE to the world.

This vision looks to encourage a convergence of nations, and increase the levels of communication between cultures and peoples through the mediums of music, art and creativity,” Ameri said Wednesday.
