UAE first lady wants military education across all schools
June 3rd, 2011 - 11:29 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, June 3 (IANS/WAM) The wife of UAE’s President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed the hope that the successful experience of providing military education at secondary level in Abu Dhabi will be extended to all schools across the emirate.
The UAE’s first lady Sheikha Shamsa was speaking at a ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi National Theatre for the commencement of the girl graduates, who completed military education in the Abu Dhabi secondary schools during the academic year 2010-2011.
She expressed pride in the graduates, who proved their desire and commitment to this highly important aspect of education.
The commitment of Emirati girls to security and military education makes them ready to serve the homeland, to defend its gains and protect it from all dangers, Sheikha Shamsa said.
The present military education programme was implemented at selected secondary schools in the emirate under the tile “The Flags”.
