UAE envoy meets British ministers
February 12th, 2012 - 11:55 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Feb 12 (IANS/WAM) United Arab Emirates (UAE) ambassador to Britain Abdul Rahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee Sunday met British Minister of State for Northern Ireland Hugo Swire and Northern Ireland’s Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster to discuss political and economic issues as well as boosting trade links between the UAE and Northern Ireland.
Al Mutaiwee said encouraging business between the UAE and Britain was one of his “main functions as ambassador”.
He said he had met during a previous visit to Northern Ireland capital Belfast many political leaders and businessmen who expressed interest to bolster trade with the UAE.
Swire and Foster plan to visit the UAE later this month.
