UAE, Cyprus sign deal on visa exemption
July 28th, 2010 - 11:28 pm ICT by IANSNicosia, July 28 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates and Cyprus Wednesday signed an agreement on the mutual exemption of holders of diplomatic and special passports from entry visas.
UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Cypriot Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou signed the deal here.
Sheikh Abdullah and Kyprianou also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on diplomatic consultations between the two ministries.
The two leaders discussed the close bilateral relations as well as the Palestinian issue.
The two ministers expressed support for solving regional conflicts through diplomatic means and in accordance with the UN’s charters and international legitimacy.
