Islamabad, Nov 2 (IANS) Suspected Taliban militants attacked a check-post in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region Wednesday and killed at least two security men, a media report said.
Two other security men were injured in the attack in Ghalnai area of Mohmand Agency near the Afghanistan border, Xinhua reported citing local TV channels.
Officials said the militants attacked the check-post with rockets and other heavy weapons.
The attack sparked exchange of fire between the security forces and the militants for around two hours. There were, however, no casualties among the militants.
