Two Maoists arrested in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, May 20 (IANS) Two Maoist guerrillas were Tuesday arrested in Rayagada district of Orissa, police said. Rayagada district police chief A.K. Singh said the arrested Maoists were 30-year-old K.K. Sethi alias Mantu and 27-year-old Sujata. Rayagada is about 650 km from state capital Bhubaneswar.

The arrested Maoists, who claim to be commanders of two regional groups of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), have confessed to involvement in several crimes in the district, including murder and landmine blasts.
