Two Indians among three abducted in Philippines rescued
October 17th, 2010 - 2:29 am ICT by IANSManila, Oct 17 (IANS) Two Indians and a Filopino abducted in Philippines Thursday were rescued after a shootout in which five kidnappers were killed, police said.
The kidnappers were killed by the law enforcers in a shootout Saturday morning in a province south of Manila, Xinhua reported.
Police identified the hostages as Pavitter Singh and Balvir Singh, both Indian nationals, and Luciano Clemen, a Filipino, who were kidnapped from Marilao town of Bulacan province.
Authorities recovered various firearms from the kidnappers.
