Two French nationals abducted in Mali
November 25th, 2011 - 8:04 am ICT by IANSParis, Nov 25 (IANS) French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe has confirmed that two French geologists have been kidnapped in northwest African nation Mali.
“Two French were abducted in Mali in conditions that we don’t yet know very well,” Xinhua quoted Juppe as telling the iTele TV channel.
“We are gathering information,” he said.
A group of seven armed men reportedly kidnapped Thursday the two geologists in Hombori in northeast Mali from the hotel where they were staying.
