Two die in failed robbery
March 12th, 2012 - 9:01 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, March 12 (IANS) Two robbers were killed while another was wounded but escaped Monday in a botched bank dacoity in Pakistan’s port city Karachi.
The robbers wearing police uniform entered a private bank in Nazimabad and held the staff and customers at gunpoint, Online news agency reported.
When the bank manager pressed the alarm, a police official deputed outside the bank intervened, but the robbers fired at him.
The officer retaliated and killed two dacoits. Police seized a Kalashnikov rifle and a motorbike from the dead men.
