Two criminals of France claim they fathered MEP Rachida Dati’s love child

London, Mar 12 (ANI): Two murderers in France have claimed that they fathered MEP Rachida Dati’s love child after a wild sex session in a locked prison room.

When Dati, 45, gave birth to her daughter Zohra in January 2009, there had been a lot of speculation as to who the father could be.

In September 2010, the two convicts, Alfredo Stranieri, 54, and Germain Gaiffe, 43, claimed they had sexual relations with Dati in Poissy prison, in the suburbs of Paris.

The two could now face charges of “causing outrage to a public servant” after Dati decided to launch a prosecution against them.

If they are found guilty, another six-months will be added to their sentences, and a fine of up to 10,000 pounds could be imposed on them.

Stranieri, who is serving life for killing four people and then burying their bodies in his garden, wrote a letter to the town hall of Paris’s 16th arrondissement (district) saying he was Zohra’s father.

Gaiffe, who is serving 30 years for cutting a man’s head off, sent an identical letter, with both saying they had slept with Dati when she visited the prison while justice minister.

Dati, who remains single, vehemently denies the claims, saying they are the ramblings of a pair of publicity-seeking convicted criminals.

The two made an appearance before the sixth correctional court in Versailles, west of Paris, on March 11, and both denied the charge against them, maintaining that they were the fathers of the child.

Dati’s lawyer Olivier Metzner said she brought the prosecution as a “matter of principle”.

“Imagine if her daughter finds out about this later. We can’t allow that to happen,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

“My client won’t be there. She doesn’t want to confront these people,” he stated.

Both Stranieri and Gaiffe are receiving legal aid, and have made a formal application for access to Zohra.

At the end of the hearing, Gaiffe ripped open his prison shirt to reveal the inscription “Zohra’s Father” written across his chest.

Julien Bouzerand, counsel for Gaiffe, said his client stuck with his claim and would continue to fight for access. (ANI)
