Two arrested over fight onboard US plane
March 14th, 2011 - 9:46 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, March 14 (IANS) Two people were taken into custody Sunday for allegedly fighting onboard a Los Angeles-bound flight, authorities said.
The crew of an Alaska Airlines jet radioed the controller that three people were acting suspiciously on the plane as the jet approached the Los Angeles International Airport at 7.45 a.m.
Two people were later arrested, officials said.
“They had a couple of people on the plane that were rowdy,” fire spokesman Cecil Manresa was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
The crew, however, said the individuals did not give any indication of a bomb or other threat, according to Manresa.
Police teams swarmed the terminal and many backup units were deployed.
