TV reporter knifed to death in China
September 20th, 2011 - 12:13 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Sep 20 (IANS) A TV reporter in central China has been found dead with more than 10 stab wounds on his body, a media report said Tuesday.
Li Xiang, 30, was from the Luoyang TV station in central China’s Henan province, China Daily reported.
Li had been planning for his wedding in October, said a friend.
The report said Li’s last Weibo post suggested he was investigating illegal cooking oil.
Li is believed to have been stabbed near the place where he parked his car after having fun with friends at KTV Sep 18, the paper said.
A nearby guard heard suspicious noises and hurried to the scene, finding Li lying on the ground with his computer bag gone, the report said.
Police suspect it to be a murder caused as the result of robbery. But it has not ruled out other possible motives.
