omar1New Haven, Aug 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Omar Thornton, who was responsible for killing as many as eight of his fellow workers while injuring two others earlier this week, placed a 911 call soon after he carried out the vicious attack. A 911 recording which was released on Thursday revealed that the only regret that the man had after he shot his colleagues at the Hartford Distributors Inc. on Tuesday is that he could not take more lives.

In the 911 call, the 34-year-old Connecticut man introduces himself “the shooter over in Manchester,” and with full composure goes on to add that he had “handled the problem” at his work which he describes as a ‘racial place.’ In the recording, Omar Thornton also says that he was treated badly at his work place as he was black and the fate was the same in case of other black employees. The 34-year-old man explained his decision of firing indiscriminately at his co-workers as he was left with no other options but to take things in his own hands to do something about the issue.

However, the allegations of racial harassment that has been leveled against the Manchester based Hartford Distributors Inc. has been completely refuted by the officials of the beer delivery company who have stated that Omar Thornton went on the rampage after he was forced to give his resignation as he had been involved in stealing and reselling beer. Meanwhile, Kristi Hannah who happens to be the longtime girlfriend of the Connecticut man, has revealed to the media that Oman Thornton was indeed the victim of racial discrimination at his work place.
