Milan, March 18 (DPA) Roma captain Francesco Totti has big goals in his sights as he gears up for a city derby against Lazio Wednesday which is the highlight of a midweek round of football’s Italian league games. With 10 Serie A games left, Roma are six points adrift of leaders Inter Milan, but boast a better morale after coming from behind to clinch a great 2-1 win over AC Milan at the weekend.

Inter also won 2-1 over Palermo, but seemed to be feeling the affects of last week’s elimination from the Champions League and the subsequent departure threats of their coach Roberto Mancini.

An away game to mid-table Genoa awaits Inter Wednesday, with a tougher home affair to Juventus set for Saturday, when Roma play at home with minnows Empoli.

Totti, meanwhile, boasts 13 goals and has displayed good form on the pitch, also finding the time to appear as special guest in a television reality show.

“For sure, if I were to win the tri-colour (scudetto), it would have a different flavour, because it would mean that we overturned everything, winning it coming from behind,” Totti told Sky TV.

The Champions League, where Roma are to tackle Manchester United in the quarterfinals, has, however, a higher appeal for the 31-year-old striker.

“One thing is certain,” he said, “I miss a trophy like the Champions League, a great international stage to hope and win the Golden Ball.”

The continental trophy and the coveted award would top off Totti’s career after Roma’s third scudetto in 2001 and the 2006 World Cup, after which he retired from Italy’s national team.

Roma are also still vying in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup, which they won last year.

Far from the heat of the title race, Juventus visit Empoli and Fiorentina are away at Napoli, while Milan, who were ejected from the Champions League, struggle to secure one of four berths for the next continental tournament as they welcome Sampdoria.

Torino take on Udinese after suffering a 3-0 drubbing against bottom side Cagliari, who entertain Atalanta, while Parma are on the verge of the three-team drop zone when they host Palermo.

Catania and Siena clash in Sicily, both being at risk along with Livorno, who welcome troubled Reggina.
