Tornado hits Indonesia
January 26th, 2012 - 7:46 am ICT by IANSJakarta, Jan 26 (IANS) A powerful tornado has ripped through the Indonesian island of Java, killing one person and injuring dozens of others.
Jakarta, East Java and West Java provinces were hit by the storm Wednesday, the National Agency of Disaster Mitigation said.
Thirty-five people were injured and over 450 houses were damaged, Xinhua quoted Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, head of the agency’s data centre, as saying.
