Tornado Collapses Normal Life In Dundee, Michigan

People of Dundee, Michigan have experienced one of the worst beginnings of a Sunday morning this week. A confirmed tornado with a speed of around 135 mph roared through Dundee damaging many houses and shattering the power lines of the area.
Dundee is located around twenty five miles away from at the southern locale of Ann Arbor. The colossal tornado pulled out many trees and destroyed property worth millions of US dollars.
According to the report of weather service official named Dave Gurney, the tornado set off at Dundee and the accompanying the tornedo was very powerful gale with a speed of over hundred miles per hour. People ran here and there in order to save their lives from this cruel storm.
The heavy storm destroyed the roof of a hotel situated next to the Splash Universe water park. However, five hundred people from the affected hotel were evacuated safely by the rescue officials, as per the sources. They were taken to a nearby school to provide food and shelter.
Andy Salenbien, whose parents’ house on M-50 was damaged, said, “I have heard the most disturbing sound of my life. The houses were wrecked and I am lucky to remain alive.”
The officials are trying to keep people away from the streets as the M-50 remained closed. The streets all over Dundee, Ida and other parts of the county are being cleaned very fast.
Dave Gurney of the National Weather Service, informed that the tornedo arrived the west of Dundee near Dennison Rd. at 2:17 a.m. He confirmed the peak wind speeds was between 130 and 135 mph. On a scale where E5 is considered the most severe one, the tornado was categorized as an E2.
The storms and the tornadoes also collapsed an outer wall of the Nuclear Power Plant in Monroe County. But luckily, no harm was done to the nuclear plant as it shifted to the auto shut down mode.
The injured were instantly rushed to the hospital where they were undergoing treatment, a public information official, Dan Smith informed. Moreover he also said that government has declared a state of emergency on account of the intense weather conditions.
