Islamabad, March 12 (Xinhua) The twin suicide bombing attacks in the eastern Pakistan city of Lahore have left 28 people dead and 160 injured, GEO TV channel reported. The blasts, one targeting the Federal Investigation Agency headquarters and the other hitting an advertising firm Tuesday, were the latest in a wave of violence in Pakistan.
Twenty-two people, including 12 agency employees, were killed in the first blast, and two children and two adults died in the other attack on the advertising office, which is a few kilometres away, GEO TV quoted Federal Investigation Agency chief Tariq Pervaz as saying.
Earlier Tuesday, Pakistan’s Interior Ministry put the toll at 24.
