Tim Burton begins shooting ‘Alice in Wonderland’

London, Sep 27 (IANS) Hollywood director Tim Burton has begun filming the live action version of Lewis Caroll’s “Alice in Wonderland” in Cornwall.Australian actress Mia Wasikowska plays the lead in the movie with Johnny Depp, who has been roped in to play the Mad Hatter’s role, reports dailymail.co.uk.
Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the stars of British television show “Little Britain”, have been cast as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.
Burton’s partner and actress Helena Bonham Carter is also set to star in the movie.
The film is due for release in the spring of 2010.
