Rome, July 7 (IANS) India Tuesday said its ties with the US were “progressing well”.
“India-US relations are progressing well. All indications are that there are no major hiccups in that. We will get a clear idea during (Secretary of State) Hillary Clinton’s visit,” a senior Indian official said here.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived here this evening to participate in the G8-G5 summit being held in the earthquake-hit town of L’Aquila, about 100 km northeast of the Italian capital.
Manmohan Singh is likely to meet President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the summit.
Clinton will be in India later this month in her first visit after assuming the office.
