Thunderbirds” Brains TV ad to help people fight post-New Year’’s eve hangoversDecember 25th, 2008 - 5:05 pm ICT by ANI
London, Dec 25 (ANI): An advert featuring Brains, the bespectacled genius from Thunderbirds, is to reprise his role as a groover in a TV ad to encourage people to drink water to beat their post-New Year’’s eve hangovers.
Brains was one of the main characters in Gerry Anderson’’s 1960s puppet series Thunderbirds.
And in the new television advert for British spring water brand Drench, Brains is seen dancing to Snap!’’s 1992 hit Rhythm is a Dancer.
The original advert, created by Clemmow Hornby Inge, first aired in May with the strapline “Brains perform best when they”re hydrated, reports The Telegraph.
However, in the latest version of the advert Brains fails a key dance move while trying to jump over a broomstick, and the mishap is followed by the line “Dehydrated brains don”t perform well”.
The new 20-second version of the advert will be launched on 1 January and will run until January 5. (ANI)
