Three pro-Khalistan militants held in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, June 4 (IANS) Three militants of Punjab’s Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), who had come to Jammu and Kashmir to acquire weapons, were arrested Wednesday morning by the police along with arms and ammunition. The militants, who were travelling in a car, were nabbed at a police check point on Akhnoor road on the outskirt of Jammu after a tip-off about their movement.

Deputy Inspector General of Jammu police, Farooq Khan said: “The three (militants) have been identified as militants of KZF and are residents of Punjab.”

He said arms and ammunition have been recovered from them.

Khan said: “Their interrogation is going on and what we have come to know is that they had come here to acquire weapons from this area.”
