Three killed, nine injured in Iraq
April 30th, 2012 - 3:43 am ICT by IANSBaghdad, April 30 (IANS) At least three people were killed and nine injured Sunday in separate attacks in Iraq, police said.
In eastern province of Diyala, two policemen were killed and another was injured after gunmen attacked a police checkpost in Baquba city, 65 km from Baghdad, Xinhua reported.
In another incident, an Iraqi army officer was killed and three others injured near Baghdad when a roadside bomb went off near a government vehicles’ convoy being escorted by military vehicles in Abu Ghraib area, said source.
In Baghdad, three people were injured after a roadside bomb ripped through Karrada district, said an interior ministry source.
In two separate incidents, two government employees were wounded when two sticky bombs attached to their cars detonated in Baghdad and Salahudin province, said police.
