Three killed in Iraq blast
September 23rd, 2011 - 2:29 am ICT by IANSBaghdad, Sep 23 (IANS) At least three people were killed and 17 injured Thursday in a car bomb blast in central Iraq, Xinhua reported.
The blast occurred near a restaurant in Iraq’s central province of Babil, said police official.
The car was parked outside the restaurant in Haswa town, 50 km south of Baghdad, and was possibly detonated by a remote controller, said the official requesting anonymity.
Several cars and nearby buildings were also damaged.
Police cordoned off the blast site and was probing the incident till last reports arrived.
