Three killed in California crash (Lead)
March 21st, 2011 - 7:06 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, March 21 (IANS) Three people were killed when a small aircraft crashed in the US state of California, authorities said.
“According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, three people on board were killed,” Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor was quoted as saying by Xinhua Sunday. “There were no survivors.”
The plane, which was believed to be a Cessna 210, crashed at about 12.40 p.m. local time (1940 GMT) Sunday near Barstow city, Gregor said.
The airplane, which can carry up to six people, was fully engulfed in flames.
