Three held in Denmark on terror charges
April 27th, 2012 - 6:47 pm ICT by IANSCopenhagen, April 27 (IANS) Three people - including a Jordanian and a Turk - were arrested in the Danish capital Friday on suspicion of preparing for a terrorist act, officials said.
Danish security and intelligence service PET said the arrests took place at two locations in Copenhagen, and several searches are being conducted in the city, Xinhua reported.
The suspects have been identified as a 22-year-old Jordanian, a 23-year-old Turkish citizen and a 21-year-old Danish citizen.
The three men have been charged with illegal possession of automatic weapons and ammunition. The PET suspects they were preparing for a terrorist act.
