Thom Yorke urges Prince to release ‘Creep’ video footageJune 1st, 2008 - 2:36 pm ICT by admin
London, June 1 (IANS) Rocker Thom Yorke wants singer Prince to allow video footage of his Coachella Festival performance to be made available online because he wants to see the pop superstar’s rendition of “Creep”. Prince surprised everyone at the festival by covering Radiohead’s “Creep” with an additional guitar solo and extended solo. The footage appeared on YouTube.com but had to be immediately pulled after its owners were threatened with legal action, contactmusic.com reports.
Yorke is unhappy because he wanted to see the video for himself but he could not even though his band owns the right to the song.
When Yorke heard the news, he said: “Really? He’s blocked it? Surely we should block it. Hang on a moment… well tell him to unblock it, it’s our song.”
