The Queen joins Flickr
July 26th, 2010 - 1:27 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 26 (ANI): The Queen has joined photo-sharing website Flickr and has already uploaded as many as 600 pictures.
Her Majesty has uploaded many pictures, which are very rare, and she plans to write a regularly updated diary of the Royal Family’s engagements, reports the Sun.
The pictures comprise of historic shots of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert from the early days of photography, plus the Queen as a child with her parents and in early royal duties.
The Queen’s account at Flickr went live on Monday and is expected to attract hundreds of millions of worldwide users.
Royal watchers immediately praised her decision as a smart way to show the Windsors are still relevant and up-to-date.
It is believed that the pictures will be uploaded on her behalf, after the Queen’s final selection. (ANI)
