Tetley launches tea-scented perfume
April 6th, 2011 - 5:29 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr 6 (ANI): Tea-manufacturer Tetley has launched a perfume that smells like a fresh cup of tea.
The limited edition scent, named ‘Le Brew’ - presumably because the French definite article adds a little je ne sais quoi - comes on the back of extensive research into the nation’s favourite smells and costs 15 pounds, reports the Daily Mail.
A freshly brewed cuppa came fourth on the list, following fresh bread, cut grass and clean laundry.
Tetley bosses commissioned the ‘Eau de Tea-lette’ after consumer research revealed that people find the smell relaxing.
The scent is fronted by Tetley Tea Folk’s only female, Tina. She poses on the packaging in a white Marilyn Monroe-style dress - although she does not look quite as sexy as the screen starlet. (ANI)
