dwtAug 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It seems that the majority of the teenagers are blissfully careless about the repercussions of driving cars while doing some other activity. A new study has revealed that a growing number of teens drive when they are distracted while knowing the dangers. A number of teens are addicted to their mobile phones and cannot stop texting or calling their pals even when they are driving cars. The survey was carried out by the American Automobile Association and a reputed magazine. It is quite alarming to see that the teens admit driving in a distracted manner while knowing that doing so can endanger their lives.

A number of teens covered by their survey said that they drove cars while they were eating food. The interesting thing is that these teens have enough excuses up their sleeves to justify their acts. The teens who drive while they talk over the cell phone think they can multitask. The others think they would not get hurt because they do two things at once. However, when they are not driving a car and are getting driven by someone else their attitude changes. If the driver tries to multitask a significant percentage of these teens see red. They apprehend that in such a case an accident may take place.

The teen psychology behind distracted driving has become a matter of concern for the psychologists. This sort of behavior increases the risk of crashes and accidents and the doctors are trying to find ways to put an end to this risky habit. The survey was conducted on among male and female teenagers.
