Teen sailor turns down $250K b’day pics offer
May 17th, 2010 - 6:26 pm ICT by ANISydney, May 17 (ANI): The Australian teenager, who sailed solo around the world, has turned down an offer of 250,000 dollars to let photographers take pictures of her 17th birthday party.
Jessica Watson, 16, will celebrate her 17th birthday on May 18, but she has refused to allow photogs to take pictures of the event and not even the amount pf money being offered will persuade her revealed her manager.
Meanwhile, Andrew Fraser has defended Watson against claims from disgruntled equipment supplier Marty Still that she delayed her return to maximise the commercial impact of her safe arrival.
“It was Jess’s decision to delay it,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Fraser as telling Radio 3AW. (ANI)
